Σήμερα, 9 Φεβρουαρίου, είναι η παγκόσμια ημέρα ελληνικής γλώσσας.

Today, 9th of February, (it) is the international (<global>) day of the Greek language.

Ο λόγος για τον οποίον επιλέχθηκε αυτή η ημερομηνία ως γιορτή της ελληνικής γλώσσας, είναι προς τιμήν του ποιητή Διονυσίου Σολωμού.

The reason why <this date> was selected as a celebration of the Greek language, is in honour of the poet Dionisios Solomos.
