Today, read about the difference between <to dream> and <to make plans>

How are you? Time for our lesson!

Ορίστε το ουσιαστικό με το οποίο θα ασχοληθούμε σήμερα: το όνειρο.

(oríste to ousiastikó me to opío tha asholithúme símera: to òniro)

Here (it is) the noun with which (we) will occupy (ourselves) today: the dream.

Η λέξη "όνειρο" είναι πολύ αρχαία, συναντάται στον Όμηρο και μέχρι σήμερα έχει ακριβώς την ίδια σημασία!

(i léxi óniro íne polí arhèa, sinadàte ston Òmiro ke méhri símera èhi akrivòs tin ídia simasía!)

The word "òneiro" is very ancient, we come across it in Homer and till our days it maintains the exact same meaning!

Ωστόσο, με το πώς επιλέγετε να συνοδεύσετε αυτή την λέξη, μπορείτε να εκφράσετε διαφορετικά νοήματα.

(ostòso, me to pòs epilégete na sinodèfsete aftí tin lèxi, boríte na ekfràsete diaforetikà noímata)

However, with the way in which you choose to accompany this word, you can express different meanings.

Βλέπω ένα όνειρο ή στον αόριστο είδα ένα όνειρο, δηλώνει την κυριολεκτική σημασία του ονειρεύομαι.

(vlépo éna òniro í ston aòristo ída éna òniro, dilòni tin kiriolektikí simasía tu onirévome)

To <see a dream> or in the aorist <I saw a dream>, signifies the literal meaning of the <to dream>.

Κάνω ένα όνειρο ή κάνω όνειρα, έχω όνειρα, δηλώνει το ότι κάνω σχέδια για το μέλλον.

(kàno éna òniro í kàno ònira, èho ònira, dilòni to oti kàno shèdia ya to mélon)

To <make a dream> or <to make dreams>, I have dreams, signifies that I am making plans for the future.

Και για πείτε μου εσείς...

(ke ya píte mu esís)
