Today we will see a verb that I consider essential for those days.
💭 Πρόκειται για το ρήμα "σκέφτομαι".

It is about the verb <to think>.

🤔 Σκέφτομαι και σκέπτομαι είναι δύο εκδοχές του ίδιου ρήματος.
(skèFTome ke skèPTome ìne dìo ekdohès tu ìdiu rìmatos)
"To think" <skèftomai and skèptomai> are two versions of the same verb.
✅ Η μόνη διαφορά μπορεί να είναι ότι το "σκέπτομαι" χρησιμοποιείται σε πιο επίσημο λόγο.
(i mòni diaforà borì na ìne òti to "skèPTome hrisimopiìte se pio epìsimo lògo")
The only difference may well be that the version "skèPTomai" is used in more formal speech.
🌱Αντίστοιχα, ο αόριστος ελαφρώς διαφέρει μεταξύ τους. Για το σκέφτομαι ο αόριστος είναι "σκέφτηκα" ενώ για το σκέπτομαι ο αόριστος γίνεται "σκέφθηκα".
(antìstiha, o aòristos elafròs diafèri metaxì tous. Ya to skèftomai o aòristos íne skéftika enò ya to sképtomai o aòristos yìnete skèfthika)
Accordingly, the simple past (aorist) differentiates between them. For the "skeFTomai" the aorist is "skeFTika", while for "skePTomai" the aorist becomes "skeFTHika"
🌱 Έτσι και ο μέλλοντας. Για το πρώτο γίνεται "θα σκεφτώ" (καθημερινός λόγος) ενώ για το δεύτερο "θα σκεφθώ" (επίσημος λόγος).
(étsi ke o mélontas. Ya to próto gínete "tha skeftò" (kathimerinòs lògos) enò ya to déftero "tha skefthò" (epísimos lògos))
The same goes for future. Regarding the first one one it becomes "I will think" (casual way) while for the second "I will think" (formal way).
